Neurotech for Good: Setting the Course

Neurotechnology has recently captured the popular imagination as a gateway to a futuristic–even dystopian–unknown. In actuality, neurotech research has been applied to a range of neurological conditions, and next-generation brain-computer interface clinical trials are on the horizon. In the near future, we can expect an explosion in commercial neurotech applications, but are the public and regulators ready? We’ll discuss bringing responsible neurotherapeutics to patients, navigating potential ethical pitfalls, combating pseudoscience and fear-mongering, and addressing valid consumer concerns.
